It is well-recognized the policy of Cerrejón to carry out its operations respecting and promoting the Human Rights of employees, contractors, third parties involved in its operations, its clients, and the general public. Under such context, Cerrejón vehemently rejects the threats that Karmen Ramírez Boscán, leader of Wayuu Women Force (“Fuerza de Mujeres Wayuu”), a Non-Government Organization – NGO, and her workmates have been receiving. In the past, members of the Wayuu community have suffered from the actions of outlaw criminal groups. This story must not be repeated.

First meeting to exchange knowledge

With a Welcome by the directors, teachers and students of Colegio Albania de Cerrejón, this Saturday March 6 started the first of the 12 approaches to exchange knowledge with 21 5th-grader children of Aula Almirante Padilla of the Indigenous Reservation (Resguardo Indígena) Cuatro de Noviembre of the Municipality of Albania.
