Cerrejon coal is an unwashed product coming from a blend of seams. Our coal is mainly an unwashed, crushed product with typical CV value of 10,600 Btu/lb GAR – 11,300 Btu/lb GAR. Most of our coal is used in electric power generation, while a small proportion is used in industry and home heating. The excellent performance of our coal in various combustion processes has placed it in an outstanding position in Europe and North America for more than 20 years.
