Health Brigade for ex-residents of Tabaco

An average of 465 consultations took place during the Health Brigade with specialized medicine for the ex-residents of the Tabaco community.

During the event, the attendees received services in General Medicine, Odontology, Gynecology, Surgery, Psychology, Cytology, ultrasounds, vaccinations, evaluations by a nutritionist, and, thanks to an agreement between Cerrejón and the Monarch Lions Club of Barrancas, specialized attention in Ophthalmology and Optometry.
The event, organized by Cerrejón’s Department of Social Responsibility and Public Affairs, took place in the Community Development Center of Tabaco “Nuevo Amanecer” in Hatonuevo. It had the support of the Mobil Health Unit (MHU), and health professionals from the hospitals of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Hatonuevo and Nuestra Señora del Pilar in Barrancas.
The patients received free prescriptions and bienestarina.
The health brigade allowed ex-residents of Tabaco from different municipalities of La Guajira and of Northern Cesar to join together and reunite.
