Hatonuevo: Medical unit specialized for the ex-residents of Tabaco
 01 September 2009

In the development of its Program for Health Promotion and Prevention for its neighbors, Cerrejón held a Health Brigade specifically for the ex-residents of the community of Tabaco on August 29 and 30th in the municipality of Hatonuevo.

This event was held thanks to the agreement between the Monarca Lions Club of Barranquilla and the support of the following hospitals: Nuestra Señora del Carmen of Hatonuevo and Nuestra Señora del Pilar of Barrancas.

This activity, led by the Department of Social Responsibility, took place at the Tabaco Community Development Center: Nuevo Amanecer, located at the previous site of UMATA and the Police Inspectorate of Hatonuevo.

The program took place on Saturday, August 29 from 9 am to 4 pm, and on Sunday the 30th from 8:30 am until noon.

Through this event, the knowledge of different health professionals was made available to all of the ex-residents of Tabaco who attended the health brigade. The attendees received specialized medical services and free prescription drugs.
